In essence, we’re a non-profit club born from a simple, compelling idea: specifically, to build a strong, welcoming community for hams of all stripes, from the greenest rookie to the seasoned pro. Ultimately, we’re here to share stories, swap knowledge, and get on the air.

Focusing on Digital Roots

First and foremost, hold your horses, because our passion isn’t just for the classics. Even though we love every corner of the radio art, we do, as a matter of fact, have a special place in our hearts for multi-mode digital voice communications. Specifically, we’re talking about D-Star, Fusion, and DMR—technologies that let us connect with fellow hams down the street and clear across the globe with crystal-clear sound. Not only that, but we’re also a forward-looking crew, dedicated to exploring these new frontiers and making them accessible to everyone. Consequently, our mission, in short, is to help you get the most out of these exciting modes.

More Than Just a Club: Our Pillars

However, we are more than just a tech-focused club. Instead, we’re a community first and foremost. As a result, our club is built on three core pillars:

Education: To begin with, we’re all about learning. Our gatherings, on-air nets, and resources are designed to help you hone your skills and discover new aspects of the hobby. In addition, we even have a youth program to make sure the next generation of operators has a place to grow and learn.
Community Service: Secondly, when a storm rolls in or the chips are down, we believe a ham’s duty is to serve. Therefore, we’re committed to providing reliable emergency communications and working with our neighbors to keep everyone safe.
Good Times: Most importantly, from on-air contests to club events, we’re always looking for a good reason to get together. In other words, we’re building a family here, and we’d be mighty proud to have you join us.

Our founding leadership, John and Clarissa Canon, have a vision for a club that feels like home, and consequently, we work hard to make that a reality every single day.
